The start of a movement

When I asked Larrissa to model for this shoot I wasn't really prepared for the spark it would ignite inside myself. 2020 was a difficult year for everyone and I was no exception. I put aside my photography to travel more. I had been traveling for 3 years when covid happened. My fiancé and I were actually living in an RV with full plans of heading back to Alaska for the summer. I found myself canceling my wedding, honeymoon, and all travels. I was left with a "what am I doing with my life?" feeling. A few months into being stuck and feeling stuck I asked Larrissa to model for an idea I wanted to do. Larrissa is a very inspiring person to be around. She is enthusiastic, driven, creative, and personable and it is infectious.

I left her session feeling energized and filled with new direction and purpose! Larrissa and I come from very similar upbringings. We have both changed and transformed into healthier, better people. All of this to say, this session brought me joy and direction in a very confusing and uncertain time. I will always cherish Larrissa and these images.
